11Overview22Gold Ore is a rare refinement material in Crimson Desert used to upgrade accessories, craft Gold Bars, and generate income through the banking system. Unlike surface-level ores such as Iron or Copper, Gold Ore is found exclusively inside caves known as Gold Mines. These mines are scattered across multiple regions, but most players will first encounter Gold Ore at Anvil Hill Cave in the Demeniss region.44How to Obtain77Gold Ore is gathered by striking deposits inside Gold Mine caves with a Pickaxe (purchased from the Provisioner's Shop in Hernand) or by using the Force Palm Attack on each deposit. Each gold deposit can be struck 2 to 4 times before it crumbles, yielding several pieces of Gold Ore per node.99Gold Mine entrances are blocked by large golden boulders. Destroy these boulders with Force Palm or a Turning Slash to gain access. Some caves also contain Stoneback Crabs that must be dealt with before mining.1111Unlocking Gold Mine Locations1313Gold Mines do not appear on your map by default. There are two ways to reveal all Gold Mine locations:1515Gold Vein Map (Recommended)1717Complete the Estate in Dismay quest, part of the House Roberts questline. This quest sends you to Karin Quarry, located north of Rocca's Hill in the Hernand region. Defeat the Marni Excavatron boss at the quarry to receive the Gold Vein Map and the Mining Knuckledrill weapon. Open your inventory, select the Gold Vein Map, and use it to permanently reveal all Gold Mine locations on your world map.1919The Mining Knuckledrill provides a 10% chance to mine additional Gold Ore from every deposit, making it a valuable tool for dedicated farming.2121Gold Vein Research2323Alternatively, you can commission the Gold Vein Research project at the palace of Urdavah in the desert region. This costs 130 Silver and takes eight in-game hours to complete. This method is less efficient than the Karin Quarry quest but is available if you reach the desert before completing the House Roberts questline.2525Gold Mine Locations2727The Gold Vein Map reveals nine Gold Mine caves spread across four regions. Each mine contains multiple gold deposits that yield approximately 15 to 20 Gold Ore per visit.2929Demeniss Region3131Anvil Hill Cave is the most accessible Gold Mine, located in the southwest of the Demeniss region. The entrance sits at the bottom of a canyon, slightly east of the Gold Ore icon on the map. Break the golden boulder with Force Palm to enter. Inside you will find Stoneback Crabs and 6 to 10 gold deposit nodes. This cave is ideal for early-game farming because it is close to Hernand and requires no special skills to access.3333Mistshard Cave is the second Demeniss mine, located in the Deadfire Mountain territory. This cave sits at a higher elevation and contains a comparable yield of gold deposits.3535Pailune Region3838Second Finger Cave is located in the Five-Finger Mountain territory. The entrance is partway up one of the distinctive finger-shaped rock formations.4040Silver Wolf Cave is found in the Wayward Woods territory. Despite the name, this cave contains Gold Ore deposits rather than Silver Ore.4242Crimson Desert Region (Tashkalp and Varnia)4444Three Gold Mines are located in the Crimson Desert region: two mines in the Tashkalp territory (both positioned among the sandstone formations near Tashkalp town) and the Cliffside Gold Mine in the Crimson Mountain area. Knowing what to hit and what to skip is the difference between a 10-ore trip and a 50-ore trip.6363Use the Mining Knuckledrill for Auto-Pickup6565Equip the Mining Knuckledrill before entering a Gold Mine. In addition to its 10% bonus ore passive, the Knuckledrill auto-picks up most ore chunks the instant a deposit crumbles, which saves a significant amount of walking and bending over. It does not catch every single piece, however, so do a quick manual sweep after clearing a cluster to grab any stragglers sitting on the ground.6767Target Full Gold Nodes, Skip Half-Stone Nodes7070Inside every Gold Mine you will see two visual variations of deposits: full gold nodes that are entirely golden-colored, and half-stone, half-gold nodes that mix stone and gold. Always prioritize the full gold nodes. They yield more Gold Ore per strike and cluster densely in the corners of each cave room. The mixed nodes are not worth the time unless you have already cleared every full gold deposit.7272Stack Abyss Gears for Bulk Runs7474Slot ore-yield and material-yield Abyss Gears into your Mining Knuckledrill before farming. A leveled-up Knuckledrill paired with material-boost gears can pull enough Gold Ore from a single cave to craft several Gold Bars worth of supply. Combine this with the Golden Apple witch recipe (1 Golden Apple + 3 Gold Ore = 1 Gold Bar) to maximize silver per trip.7676Tips7878Start with Anvil Hill Cave as your first Gold Mine. It is close to Hernand, requires no special skills, and yields 15 to 20 Gold Ore per visit.Obtain the Gold Vein Map as soon as possible by completing the Estate in Dismay quest at Karin Quarry. This reveals all nine mines at once.Equip the Mining Knuckledrill for a 10% bonus ore chance on every gold deposit you mine.Gold deposits respawn over time. After clearing a mine, continue with quests or travel to another mine, then return later for fresh deposits.Keep a Pickaxe in your inventory at all times.
