Frozen Hearted Predator is a main quest in Crimson Desert and the eighth mission of Chapter 10: Counterattack, serving as the climactic boss fight of the Greater Firepower sub-chapter. The creature the scouts warned about reveals itself: a colossal beast corrupted by Abyss energy and enhanced by extreme cold. It approaches from the frozen wastes east of Delesyia and threatens to destroy everything in its path.

The Frozen Hearted Predator is fought in two distinct phases. The first phase uses the ATAG mech, while the second phase switches to personal combat after the mech is disabled. The boss has three health bars total: two for the ATAG phase and one for the ground phase.
Ice Breath: The Predator breathes a wide cone of freezing air that slows and damages the ATAG. Strafe sideways to avoid the cone. If caught, movement speed is reduced by 50% for several seconds.
Tail Slam: It slams its armored tail, creating a shockwave of ice spikes that spread outward. Move the ATAG away from the impact point.
Charge and Bite: The Predator charges on all fours and attempts to bite the ATAG. This deals the most damage in Phase 1. Dodge to the side and counter with a cannon shot while it recovers.
Ice Crystal Barrage: Ice crystals rain from the sky. Circular indicators on the ground show landing positions. Move between the indicators to avoid damage.
After depleting two health bars, the Predator tackles the ATAG, destroying the mech in a cutscene and forcing Kliff to continue on foot.
Claw Swipe: Fast melee attacks with its front claws. Dodge backward or sideways to avoid the swipe arc.
Frost Stomp: Creates a circle of ice on the ground that deals continuous cold damage. Move out of the circle immediately.
Ice Howl: A devastating roar that sends a wave of freezing energy in all directions. Hide behind terrain barriers to avoid it.
Weakened Core: The Predator's chest plating was damaged by the ATAG in Phase 1, partially exposing a glowing blue core. Attacks on this core deal triple damage.
Phase 1: Stay at medium range. Too close and the tail slam is unavoidable; too far and the ice breath reaches you.
Phase 1: Use EMP to interrupt ice breath. Fire the EMP when you see the Predator inhale to stagger it and cancel the attack.
Phase 2: Target the exposed core during recovery windows after missed charges or claw swipes.
Phase 2: Use terrain for cover against the ice howl, which cannot be dodged through conventional means.
Bring cold resistance food to reduce incoming ice damage significantly.
The beast's heart is recovered after the fight and studied by Oongka, who believes the Abyss corruption can be reversed.
The crafting materials dropped by this boss are used for some of the best cold-resistant armor in the game.
