Quest Details

Overview

Fire on the Frontlines tasks Kliff with destroying a Black Bears supply wagon hidden inside a church. Destroying enemy supplies slows their advance, giving the Calphadean defenders the momentum they need to push the attack forward. This quest uses the Concentrating Light ability, which focuses a beam of light to ignite flammable objects.

Walkthrough

Defeat the Exterior Enemies

Approach the church building and clear out the Black Bears soldiers guarding the outside. Use whatever combat style you prefer; there is no boss here.

Destroy the Supply Wagon

Enter the church and locate the wooden supply wagon positioned in front of the altar. Here is how to destroy it:

1. Activate Concentrating Light by holding L1 + R1 (PlayStation) or LB + RB (Xbox).

2. Press L1 / LB to target the wooden crates on top of the wagon.

3. Hold the beam on the crates until fire ignites (a few seconds).

4. Wait about 30 seconds for the wagon to burn down.

5. Attack the charred remains with melee strikes to finish it off, or let the fire destroy it completely on its own.

Post-Quest: Church Bell

There is a church bell at the top of the structure. It does nothing during the siege. However, after Chapter 6 concludes and the area is liberated, you can return and ring the bell. Doing so reveals map details for northern Hernand, similar to how viewpoints work in other open-world games.

Tips

• Concentrating Light can be aimed at anything flammable. If you see wooden structures or crates in future quests, remember this ability.

• You do not need to wait for the wagon to fully burn. Hitting the weakened remains with melee attacks speeds up the process.

• Come back to ring the church bell after Chapter 6. The map reveal is worth the return trip.
