Kliff attends the banquet at Hernand Castle and meets the Demenissian delegates, including Barden Middler and Alan Serkis. The banquet is interrupted by the appearance of Kearush, The Slayer, one of the hardest bosses in the game.8899Walkthrough10101111Attend the Banquet12121313Travel to Hernand Castle's courtyard. You will find Barden Middler and Alan Serkis speaking with each other. Wait for their dialogue to finish, then use your observation ability (L1 / LB) to zoom in and press Square / X to initiate conversation.14141515Boss Fight: Kearush, the Slayer16161717After the banquet scene, you will face Kearush, The Slayer, a massive gorilla-like creature with three full health bars. This is one of the toughest encounters in the game up to this point. Blocking and parrying are almost useless against Kearush. Dodging is the only reliable defense.18181919Phase 1: Feeling Out20202121Kearush is at his least aggressive during the first health bar. His attack combos are shorter and the windows between strikes are wider. Dodge forward-right after he swings to position yourself behind him. Land two to three quick attacks with R1 / RB, then immediately prepare to dodge again. Use the longer gaps between his combos to heal with directional pad right.22222323Phase 2: Increasing Pressure24242525At two bars remaining, Kearush becomes faster and starts chaining longer combos. Watch for a blue glow around his body. This signals a super armor activation, meaning he is about to unleash a devastating sequence of ground pounds and grabs. When you see the glow, sprint to the edges of the arena and use the environment for cover. He can sometimes get stuck on corners briefly, giving you free hits.26262727Phase 3: All-Out Assault28282929The final health bar is the most dangerous. Kearush chains his longest combos here, including repeated jumping smashes that cover large areas. Your attack windows shrink considerably. Stay patient, only strike once or twice after dodging his finisher moves, and keep healing aggressively. If you go down, Palmer Pills will revive you automatically once.30303131Rewards32323333RewardTypeThe Grove's ThornOne-Handed MaceGale IAccessoryHowling of ChaosAccessory3434Preparation35353636Recommended Equipment37373838Purchase plate armor from the Hernand merchant. Upgrade it to refinement level 4 or higher for the extra defense.Invest in at least four health and four stamina upgrades on your skill tree.39394040Healing Supplies41414242Bring 100 to 200 Grilled Meat. Each piece restores 80 HP. You can source raw meat by hunting deer in the woodlands around Hernand, then cook it at the vendor's pot nearby (one raw meat produces one Grilled Meat).43434444Tips45454646Dodge forward-right, not backward. Rolling away from Kearush gives him time to close the gap with a leaping slam. Getting behind him is always safer.Do not get greedy with combos. Three hits maximum, then reset. Kearush punishes long attack strings with instant grabs. If you run out of healing items mid-fight, focus on landing perfect dodges to trigger slow-motion counterattack windows.Palmer Pills are a safety net. Keep at least one in your inventory for Phase 3.
