11Overview22Bloodstone is a refinement material in Crimson Desert classified as an ore. Its in-game description reads: "A reddish ore with toxic properties. Because it contains mercury, mining and refining it can release poisonous gases, making protective equipment essential." Despite the description, no protective gear is actually required to mine it in gameplay.44Bloodstone is used at the Blacksmith to upgrade weapons, armor, metal shields, and jewelry through the gear refinement system. It is a mid-tier ore that sits above Iron and Copper in rarity but below Scolecite and Diamond. Bloodstone deposits are considerably less common than Iron or Copper, so knowing the exact locations is valuable when you need to stock up for refinements.66Bloodstone appears most frequently in the Pailune and Crimson Desert regions, though scattered deposits can be found in remote areas across the Continent of Pywel. The ore has a distinctive red color that makes it easier to spot on cliff faces and ravine walls compared to the grey tones of Iron and Copper. Each unit of Bloodstone sells for 51 copper (approximately 0.51 copper (approximately 0.51 copper (approximately 0.51 copper (approximately 0.51 Silver)))) at vendors.88How to Obtain1010Bloodstone is extracted from red ore deposits found on cliff faces, ravine walls, and rocky outcrops throughout the world. There are four ways to mine ore deposits in Crimson Desert.1212Pickaxe1414The most straightforward method. Equip a Pickaxe from the quick menu (F2 on keyboard, left D-pad on controller), aim at the ore deposit until the reticle turns blue, then swing to break it. A free Pickaxe can be obtained by accepting Rhett's Request outside the equipment shop in Hernand, and additional Pickaxes are available from Provisioner's Shops throughout the world.1616Force Palm1818The Force Palm ability can break ore deposits without a Pickaxe. Hold and charge the attack while aiming at the deposit. This consumes Spirit each time it is used. Force Palm is particularly useful for reaching elevated deposits: you can climb a cliff surface and use Force Palm to strike ore above you, though the impact will launch you away from the wall.2020Charged Shot2222After unlocking the Charged Shot skill, draw your bow and wait for the arrow to fully charge, then shoot an ore deposit to collect the drops. This method consumes Spirit and is most useful for deposits that are difficult to reach on foot. Keep in mind that drops scatter upon impact, so you may need to collect them from a wider area.2424Mining Knuckledrill2626The Mining Knuckledrill is a special piece of mining equipment unlocked after defeating Marni's Excavatron. It allows you to mine ore faster than a standard Pickaxe and increases your ore drops by 10%, making it the best tool for dedicated farming runs.2828Deposit Locations3030Bloodstone deposits can be found at the following verified locations. Once you mine a deposit for the first time, it is permanently marked on your world map, making return trips straightforward. Use the Environment tab on the map to highlight ore nodes that may otherwise be invisible unless you zoom in close.3232Rocca's Hill Ravine (Hernand Region)3434The earliest and most accessible Bloodstone source is located in a ravine in the south of Rocca's Hill, across the river directly east of Hernand. The Bloodstone appears as a vertical strip in the cliffside near the top of the hills to the east. There are five Bloodstone veins to mine here, yielding approximately ten pieces of the material. This is the best early-game spot because it is close to Hernand and produces a solid haul in a single visit.3636Further up the same ravine, you can also find Garnet and Azurite deposits near the large bridge to the north, along with Iron and Copper deposits scattered throughout the area. This makes the Rocca's Hill ravine an efficient all-purpose mining stop.3838East of Anvil Hill (Hernand Region)4040East of Rocca's Hill, past Fort Anvil and just to the north of the river that runs along its southern side, Bloodstone deposits sit at the bottom of a deep ravine. Iron ore veins are also present in this area, so you can collect both materials during a single trip. The ravine can be reached by following the riverbank east from Rocca's Hill.4242South of Tashkalp (Crimson Desert Region)4444A Bloodstone deposit sits south of Tashkalp town in the Crimson Desert region. This is a convenient deposit to hit if you are already in the area for quests or traveling through. While it is only a single deposit rather than a cluster, its proximity to Tashkalp makes it worth mining whenever you pass by.4646Northern Crimson Desert Road (Tashkalp to Trader's Expanse)4848Multiple Bloodstone deposit clusters line the main road heading north from Tashkalp toward Trader's Expanse. Several distinct deposit locations are spread along this route, and each cluster contains multiple veins. This stretch of road has the highest density of Bloodstone deposits in the game, making it the single best farming path for the material. Walk or ride the full length of the road and mine every deposit you encounter for maximum yield.5050West of Delesyia (Delesyia Region)5252Bloodstone deposits appear on the cliff face west of Delesyia town. These are cliff-side deposits accessible from the road leading out of the settlement. Continue east past Fort Anvil to the deep ravine north of the river. Mine the Bloodstone and Iron deposits at the bottom.3. Travel to Tashkalp and pick up the single deposit south of town.4. Walk the northern road from Tashkalp toward Trader's Expanse. Mine every Bloodstone cluster along the route. This segment alone will produce the largest haul of any single stretch.5. Finish at Delesyia by checking the cliff face west of town for the remaining deposits.7878This full route covers every known Bloodstone source in the game. After completing it, wait 7 in-game days for all deposits to respawn before running the route again.8080Tips8282Bloodstone's red color makes it stand out against grey rock faces. When traveling through the Crimson Desert or Pailune regions, keep an eye on cliff walls for the distinctive reddish tint.Always mine a deposit at least once, even if you do not need the Bloodstone right away. Mining it for the first time permanently marks it on your map, which saves time on future farming runs.If you have the Mining Knuckledrill, use it instead of a regular Pickaxe for a 10% increase in ore drops.
