11Overview22Ben is the ranch manager at Greymane Camp in Crimson Desert. He oversees all livestock operations at the camp, including animal breeding, feeding, and butchering. Ben is one of six Greymanes recruited during the "A Rumor in Goldleaf Trading Post" faction quest, alongside Conrad, Wynstan, Kamu, Alec, and Ed.44Having spent his childhood on a vast ranch, Ben has handled livestock since he was a young boy. Rather than inheriting his family's lands, he sought a more meaningful life and joined the Greymanes.66Once Ben arrives at camp, he sets up the ranch facility and becomes the point of contact for all ranching activities. He is classified as a Camp Provisioner, which means he stays at camp permanently and cannot be dispatched on missions. The ranch gives players a dedicated area to raise domestic livestock including goats, pigs, cows, sheep, chickens, and ducks. Animals produce renewable resources such as meat, milk, eggs, fleece, hides, and bones that feed directly into the cooking and crafting systems.1616The ranch initially supports up to 25 animals. Through camp upgrades, this capacity can be increased to 35. When properly managed, the ranching system becomes entirely self-sustaining through breeding, with offspring replacing any animals you slaughter or sell.1818Ranch Shop2020Ben operates a ranch shop where players can purchase livestock. This quest is part of the Grounds of the Sunrise questline, which becomes available after reaching Chapter 3 of the main story. The quest sends Kliff to the Goldleaf Trading Post to reunite with several scattered Greymane members.3333After completing the quest, Ben appears at Greymane Camp. Speak with him to begin the ranch unlock process, starting with the "Field of Abundance" quest.3535Ranch Unlock Process3737After meeting Ben, the ranch is unlocked through the "Field of Abundance" quest. Ben asks you to dispatch companions to Bloomwood Ranch for a Milk Harvest Mission. This is a dispatch mission where you send your Greymanes to complete it on your behalf. A separate construction dispatch mission then builds the ranch facility at Howling Hill. At the 100 trust milestone he begins selling baby pigs and chicks, which you can buy and walk back to your own ranch pens.
