11Authorized Access is a faction quest in Crimson Desert, part of the Children of the Woods quest series. This quest takes place in the Hernand region.2233Quest Details4455PropertyDetailsQuest TypeFaction QuestRegionHernandQuest SeriesChildren of the Woods66Completion7788Arkin was relieved by the relic's safe return and granted you entry to the village as a reward.991010Tips11111212Check the faction quest board regularly, as available quests rotate over time.Completing faction quests increases your reputation with the local faction, unlocking access to better vendors and rewards.13131414Quest Location and Trigger15151616Authorized Access is the short quest that first opens up Pororin, the hidden village tucked into the Trembling Woods. Players stumble into the quest simply by walking one of the forest approach roads toward the settlement. Guards posted along those paths fire poison darts, and the character is knocked unconscious by the third dart. A short cutscene plays each time the player wakes up, and after the third knockout the quest line officially opens in the journal and can be completed.17171818The trigger happens very early in the game. Most players encounter it while exploring the Hernand region on their way to other content, which is why the quest is often completed before readers even realize they have started a dedicated quest line.19192020Walkthrough21212222After the third knockout the player wakes inside Pororin and is allowed to speak with the villagers who captured them. The quest itself is intentionally brief, often taking around five minutes of actual play time. Follow the journal marker to the overseer, accept the terms of entry, and complete the short investigation or delivery step required to be granted formal permission to walk the village freely. Once the final dialogue closes, the quest is marked complete and Pororin becomes a fully explorable location with fast travel access. The same completion also unblocks later questline steps that rely on being allowed inside the village, including later visits to the Pororin Research Institute.232324-Patch 1.04 Reward: Sadhu of Bond24+Patch 1.04 Reward: Sigil of Bond252526-Patch 1.04 retroactively attaches a new reward to this quest: the Sadhu of Bond, a placeable bird taming item. Use it from the inventory to place it on the ground, then fill it with food. Birds in the surrounding region will spawn and land at the feeder to eat. Every bite the bird takes raises its Trust toward the player, with each bite granting roughly twenty-five Trust. Once Trust reaches one hundred, a prompt appears to take the bird in as a pet. Tamed birds work like other pets: they can be summoned, they stay with the player, and they will pick up items off the ground during exploration.28+The Sigil of Bond functions as a bird feeder. Grains, fruits, and vegetables attract smaller herbivore birds such as pigeons and crows, while raw meat and fish attract predator birds such as hawks, eagles, and the large condor variant. No single food is tied to a specific species, so mixing both food categories in the feeder is safe and lets the region's local bird pool dictate who actually shows up. Because each region has its own bird roster, where the feeder is placed matters as much as what goes inside it. Getting close to a visible target bird, even underneath it when it is circling, makes it far more likely to land and feed.30+The food placed in the Sigil of Bond determines which general type of bird will approach. Barley, sold in the Graymane camp, is a reliable grain option for the herbivore side of the table.33333434For Players Who Already Completed the Quest353536-Players who finished Authorized Access before Patch 1.04 shipped are not locked out of the new reward. On the first login after the patch, the Sadhu of Bond is automatically deposited in the camp's private storage chest. If the item is not in the player inventory and the quest is already marked complete in the journal, check the private storage at the main camp before assuming anything is missing. A short in-game message typically announces the reward on login as well.36+Players who finished Authorized Access before Patch 1.04 shipped are not locked out of the new reward. A short in-game message typically announces the reward on login as well.373738+Sigil of Bond (Quest Reward)39+40+Completing Authorized Access grants the Sigil of Bond, a placed-on-ground bird feeder used to attract and tame birds across Hernand and the rest of the Crimson Desert world. The reward originates with a tree-spirit NPC that the player meets during the quest inside Pororin Village; handing over the relic at the end of the quest is what triggers the Sigil being added to the player inventory.41+42+The Sigil is the only item in the game that lets the player tame flying pets, so finishing this short side quest is effectively a prerequisite for the bird-taming half of the companions system. Birds are otherwise uncatchable: cats and dogs can be fed on the ground and petted directly, but every bird species in the game (including the crow, eagle, hawk, falcon, pigeon, parrot, goose, and owl lines) requires the Sigil to come down and feed before it can be picked up as a companion.43+44+Retroactive Grant for Pre-Update Completions45+46+Players who finished Authorized Access before the bird-pet update shipped are not locked out of the reward. On the first login after the update, a popup notice appears announcing that the Sigil has been granted retroactively, and the item is deposited directly into the player's private storage box at the main camp. If the quest is already marked complete in the journal and the Sigil is not visible in the active inventory, open the private storage chest first before assuming anything is missing.47+48+Recovering the Sigil of Bond49+50+The Sigil of Bond cannot be sold, dropped, or destroyed in the normal sense, but it is possible to misplace it (for example by leaving the feeder on the ground in a region the player does not return to, or by accidentally stashing it in a mount's saddlebag). If the Sigil is ever missing from both the player inventory and the private storage chest, it can be recovered from the camp provisioner at Greymane Camp. Speak to the provisioner, open the shop interface, and switch to the recover items tab; the Sigil shows up there alongside other quest-granted items that have gone missing, and it can be pulled back into the inventory at no contribution-point cost.51+52+Using the Sigil of Bond53+54+In-quest usage is simple. Take the Sigil out of the inventory, walk to an area birds are known to circle, and place the feeder on the ground. Two placement rules matter most:55+56+Place it on high ground along the target bird's flight path. Cliff tops, hill crests, and ridgelines are far more effective than flat ground. Watch the bird circle for a few seconds before choosing a spot, then drop the Sigil directly underneath the circling arc so the bird sees it on the next pass.Fill the feeder with the right food category. Interact with the placed Sigil and load food from the inventory. Small birds (pigeons, sparrows, geese, crows, parrots) eat bugs, vegetables, and grains; Barley is a strong grain option at 25 trust per feed. Predator birds (eagles, hawks, owls, falcons) eat meat; Lean Meat from any town butcher is a top option at 35 trust per feed. Stock both categories at the same time to cover whatever lands first.57+58+After the feeder is placed and stocked, birds take roughly two to six minutes to notice it and land. Some species are time-gated: owls only feed at night, with landings reported around 04:00 in-game. Once a bird has eaten enough to raise its trust score to 100, walk up and take it in as a companion; the Companion Trust article covers the underlying progression in full, and the Pet Taming Guide walks through the complete workflow (best foods per species, fastest farming spots for each bird type, and what to equip before heading out).59+60+To pick the Sigil back up once a session is finished, walk up to the placed feeder and hold the lantern / interact button; the Sigil returns to the inventory and can be redeployed anywhere else on the map.61+3862Related Quests and Content396340-Trembling Woods Puzzle SolutionPororinLacy, the rotating secret vendor who patrols Pororin and sells the Sigil of Bonding and Palmer Pills.
