The progress bar freezes and a Scholastone Research Assistant appears on your world map with a quest marker. This Abyssal Power Research Halted quest exists to clear the blockage so the project can finish and unlock the Health Level cap lift.

The marker will show a Scholastone Research Assistant waiting in Duskwood, Hernand.Travel to Duskwood and speak with the Research Assistant to hear what has gone wrong.Head north to the Abyss Nexus in Haunted Hill.Stand on the Abyss Nexus pad to attempt to activate it.Defeat every Wandershrub that spawns until the area is cleared and the Nexus activates as a fast travel point.Return to the Research Assistant in Duskwood to confirm the report.Research at Grunvar's terminal will resume and complete the remaining 50 percent.

Without finishing it the Abyssal Energy Research cannot complete, which keeps your max health cap stuck at Level 11.The Wandershrub spawns are stationary until aggro'd. Pull them one at a time from outside the Nexus ring to avoid being surrounded.Activating the Nexus after the clear gives you a new fast travel hub for future trips into Haunted Hill.
