33 A Bond is the 105th main quest in Crimson Desert, continuing the Ashen Steps sub-chapter of Chapter 8: Blood Coronation. The quest introduces Maegu, a witch from the far East who has suffered both a debilitating injury and the abduction of her sister. Kliff must read her letter and travel to a remote altar in the Misty Forest to begin the ritual that will help locate her missing sibling.

1212 Open your inventory. Locate "Maegu's Letter," a purple key item that Torstein handed you at the end of the previous quest.Read the letter. Select the item and hold L1/LB to read through its contents. The letter explains Maegu's situation and requests help performing a ritual at a specific altar.

1414 Travel to the Bamboo Forest Altar

1616 The altar is located south of Demeniss and southeast of the old Greymane camp. This is a fairly remote location, and reaching it can be tricky if you lack nearby fast travel points.

1818 If you do not have an unlocked fast travel point in the area, teleport to the Abyss located above the Greymane camp. Descend to the camp, then ride southeast by horse to the isolated bamboo forest. The altar sits in a clearing within the bamboo grove.

2222 Approach the altar. Two stone lanterns stand in front of the bamboo forest altar.Interact with each lantern. Walk up to each one and press the interact button to ignite them. Once both lanterns are lit, the quest completes.

It is entirely exploration and interaction.The bamboo forest altar becomes an important location for the next two quests, so familiarize yourself with the route.If riding from the Greymane camp, the journey takes roughly two minutes on horseback. Watch for the dense bamboo trees; the altar is at the end of a narrow path through the grove.
