Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember has a confirmed cast built around a new protagonist and the strategist who travels with him, joined by the three warlords who return from the first game and one figure new to the series. Koei Tecmo began introducing them individually in July 2026 and the run is ongoing, so this page covers only what has been formally announced.

The Returning Warlords
Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan are the three men whose rivalry settles the shape of the age, and all three appeared in the first game. The sequel picks them up later: each has come through the conflicts of the previous story carrying a different conviction, and official copy places them in open collision inside a war tangled up with demons and the elixir plot. Their introductions lean on the events behind them, with Cao Cao's turning on his victory over Yuan Shao and Liu Bei's on the defeat of Yuan Shu, who ended as a demon.
Announced but Undetailed
Zhuge Liang has not been introduced. Asked directly, the producer said he will appear as players expect and that details are being held for later announcements. Beyond the named figures, the studio has said many more generals and legendary personalities of the period will follow, and that the cast will feed into exploration and strategy rather than only into cutscenes. No voice cast has been announced for any character.
The story these characters sit in is covered under Setting and Story, and the campaigns they fight in under The Demon-Infested Three Kingdoms.
