SAND: Raiders of Sophie is a PvPvE extraction shooter developed by Ukrainian studios Hologryph and TowerHaus and published by tinyBuild. Players operate fully customizable giant walking mechs called Tramplers across the desolate desert landscape of the fallen planet Sophie in an alternate-history 1910 setting. The goal on each expedition is to scavenge weapons, resources, and artifacts, survive encounters with rival players and hostile creatures, and successfully extract with your loot intact. New players can start with Getting Started.
Overview

In SAND: Raiders of Sophie, the Trampler functions as the player's base of operations, transport, storage, and primary combat platform all in one. Players can go in solo or squad up with others to pool resources and coordinate raids. The hostile environment of Sophie combines both player threats and AI-controlled dangers, creating a PvPvE dynamic where every run carries risk.
The game supports squad play and fully balanced solo play. After each expedition, players return their loot to an orbital station if they survive long enough to reach an extraction point. Expeditions run in two game modes: Voyage, a lower-stakes mode with no time limit, and Storm Dive, a higher-risk mode where a sandstorm closes in over the course of the run.
SAND: Raiders of Sophie released into Steam Early Access on June 22, 2026, priced at $24.99 with a 21 percent launch discount. The date was set after a pre-launch Server Slam network test in June 2026 led the team to delay an earlier June 10 target and move to an Early Access release. Launch timing for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions has not yet been specified. The game is now live: the developers reported more than 100,000 players in the first four days and, by early July 2026, said more than 300,000 players had joined since release. They published an Early Access roadmap shortly after launch and have continued to update the game.
Setting
The game takes place on the planet Sophie in an alternate version of 1910. In this timeline, the Austro-Hungarian Empire led early space exploration after the discovery of new energy sources. The Empire colonized Sophie and encouraged Galicians from Western Ukraine to settle there. An unexplained ecological disaster then struck the planet, forcing its population to hastily evacuate and leaving behind a world rich in abandoned resources, ruins, and artifacts.
The playable desert terrain was formerly a sea bottom. Players explore ruined cities, submerged shipwrecks, monuments, and former settlements scattered across the dunes. Characters in the game are primarily Galicians who return to Sophie seeking the resources and futures they were promised before the evacuation. See Setting: Planet Sophie for the full lore.
