Persona 4 Revival is an upcoming remake of Persona 4, developed by Atlus and its internal studio P-Studio and published by Sega. The game is described by its publisher as a retelling of the original story, rebuilt with revamped, modern graphics and designed to offer a fresh experience for both newcomers and long-time fans of the series.

Overview
Set in the rural Japanese town of Inaba, Persona 4 Revival follows a transfer student who spends an unforgettable year forging friendships and confronting a deepening mystery. A series of killings and a rumored television channel that appears only on rainy nights draw the protagonist and a group of companions into another world, where they awaken Personas, the manifestation of their inner strength, to battle creatures called Shadows.
Gameplay centers on turn-based combat, a Social Links system of growing bonds with the town's residents, and time management across school life, activities, and daily routines. The world of Inaba is rebuilt with revamped, modern graphics.
Developer and Publisher
Persona 4 Revival is developed by Atlus, specifically its internal P-Studio division, which has led the Persona series for many years. Co-development support has been reported from the Japanese third-party studio Tose, identified through Tose's own financial disclosures. The game is published by Sega. Producer Kazuhisa Wada is leading the project. The English voice cast has been recast with new actors in primary roles.
The soundtrack is composed by Ryota Kozuka of the Atlus Sound Team, with series newcomer Shiori Sasaki performing as the new lead vocalist in place of longtime singer Shihoko Hirata. New tracks are being added alongside rearranged music from the original. The remake’s in-game animated cutscenes are produced by the animation studio MAPPA.

Persona 4 Revival is built using Unreal Engine. Specific version and technical details have not been disclosed by Atlus.
Platforms and Availability
Persona 4 Revival is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The game is available day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass and supports Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing a single purchase to cover both Xbox and PC. The PC version uses Denuvo anti-tamper software. A Nintendo Switch 2 version has not been confirmed.
Release Date
Persona 4 Revival launches worldwide on February 18, 2027, a date Atlus announced at a June 2026 Xbox Games Showcase, with pre-orders opening alongside it. The launch is simultaneous on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and the date sits inside publisher Sega Sammy's fiscal year 2027, the window ending March 2027. The reported development target for the core build had been the end of August 2026, excluding localization. The game ships in digital Standard, Deluxe, and Premium editions plus physical Standard and Collector's editions, with a pre-order bonus music set.
Language Support
Persona 4 Revival supports fifteen languages at launch. The Steam manifest lists Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Thai, and Turkish. Interface, full audio, and subtitle support varies by language.
What Has Not Been Confirmed
Many finer details from the original Persona 4 and its expanded Golden version have not been confirmed for the remake. Specific story additions, new Social Links, dungeon redesigns, party-member playable status, day-by-day calendar overhauls, and the full scope of any new content are only partly detailed; the June 18, 2026 broadcast confirmed the new combat systems, the additional Social Links such as Marie and Adachi, Marie’s Hollow Forest dungeon, and the reworked soundtrack, while the full calendar, dungeon, and Social Link structure remain unannounced. Where this wiki references content known only from the original game, it is hedged or omitted until Atlus confirms what ships in Revival.
