Metro 2039 is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, with a February 2027 release. This page collects the platform, storefront and content-rating information that the store listings carry before launch. All of it is pre-release data and can change.
The game is a current-generation release. No PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo, mobile or cloud-streaming version has been announced, and no Mac or Linux build is listed.

The Microsoft Store version supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so a single purchase covers both the Xbox Series X|S and Windows builds. English is the only language currently listed for interface, audio and subtitles.
Both the PC and console listings describe the same feature set. Every one of them points at a purely single-player release: no multiplayer, co-operative or online mode appears anywhere on the listings.

Content ratings have been assigned across a range of territories ahead of launch, and they cluster at the top of each board's scale. The ratings and their descriptors are consistent with the survival-horror direction described for the game, and with the story and themes the studio has set out.

The PC listing adds its own maturity notice, warning that the game may contain some nudity or sexual content, frequent violence or gore, and general mature content. Ratings shown before launch are provisional and can differ slightly between storefronts, so the figures above may be revised.
No system requirements have been published. Every specification field on the PC listings is marked as to be announced, and the only hardware statement so far is that a 64-bit processor and operating system are needed. Neither the developer nor the publisher has committed to a resolution or frame-rate target on any platform, and any specific figure circulating before launch should be treated as unverified. No editions, pre-order options or pricing have been announced. Every storefront entry is a wishlist-only listing, and the game passed one million wishlists on the PC store within two weeks of its April 2026 reveal. The only distribution promotion the publisher has run so far is a mailing-list competition offering ten copies at launch. Metro 2039 will be publicly playable for the first time at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, from 27 to 30 August, ahead of the February 2027 release described on the Metro 2039 overview page.
