Farming is one of Loftia's main activities. Its announced methods include trellis farming, hydroponics, and aquaponics, with different stages of development represented in the Closed Beta.
Beta farming categories
The April 2026 beta guide showed five farming categories:

Hydroponics and aquaponics
In April, hydroponics appeared in a quest in Gridfall. Player-owned hydroponic farming was planned for Early Access. Aquaponics was planned to follow hydroponics, without a precise date. These dated plans should not be read as confirmation that both methods were available to beta players on their own farms.
Farming in the world
Hanging Gardens supports farming, gathering, and fishing, and includes Community Farms. Personal islands and Neighborhoods are also part of the announced farming setting.
Hazel owns a seed shop and teaches farming. Herb is the Hanging Gardens caretaker, while Dr. Marie is the botanical scientist credited with Loftia's first hydroponics machine. See Early Access and Roadmap for later farming plans.
