Overview
Honor of Kings: World is a technically demanding title built on Unreal Engine 5, but TiMi Studios has worked to ensure accessibility across a wide range of hardware. The game runs on PC, iOS, Android, and via cloud gaming, with each platform having its own minimum and recommended specifications. The total game installation is approximately 72.5 GB on PC, with 100 GB or more of free SSD space recommended to accommodate patches and the full streaming asset download. For players whose hardware falls below the minimum specifications, the cloud gaming option provides full access without local hardware requirements.
PC Minimum Requirements
The minimum PC specifications target 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second with low graphical settings. These requirements represent the baseline hardware needed to run the game in a playable state, though players should expect reduced visual quality and occasional frame drops in demanding scenes such as large-scale boss encounters or densely populated areas.
PC Minimum Specifications
Processor: Intel Core i5-9600 or AMD equivalent. Memory: 16 GB RAM. Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (5 GB VRAM) or AMD equivalent. Storage: 100 GB available space on SSD (HDD not recommended due to streaming performance). Operating System: Windows 10 version 22H2 or later. DirectX: Version 12.
The 16 GB RAM requirement reflects the game's open-world streaming architecture, which loads and unloads terrain and assets dynamically as the player moves through the world. Systems with less RAM may experience stuttering during rapid traversal or when entering new areas. The SSD recommendation is strong; mechanical hard drives may cause noticeable texture pop-in and longer loading times.
PC Recommended Requirements
For the optimal PC experience at 1440p or 4K resolution with high graphical settings and stable 60 frames per second, TiMi Studios recommends significantly more powerful hardware. A current-generation GPU with ray tracing support is recommended for players who want to take advantage of the game's advanced lighting and reflection systems. The recommended specs target a noticeably smoother and more visually impressive experience compared to minimum settings.
Mobile Requirements: Android
On Android, the game requires a device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or equivalent processor as a minimum. This chipset launched in early 2020, meaning most flagship and upper-midrange Android phones released from 2020 onward should meet the requirement. The game uses dynamic resolution scaling on mobile to maintain performance targets, automatically adjusting visual fidelity based on the device's capabilities and thermal state.
Storage requirements on Android are lower than PC due to compressed assets and reduced texture resolution. However, players should still expect a multi-gigabyte download followed by additional asset downloads during initial play sessions.
Mobile Requirements: iOS
On iOS, the minimum supported device is the iPhone 11, which features Apple's A13 Bionic chip. The game was showcased running on the iPhone 16 with A18 Pro during Apple's September 2024 event, demonstrating that newer hardware delivers a significantly better visual experience. iPad support includes models with A13 or later chips.
The iOS version benefits from Apple's Metal graphics API, which TiMi Studios has optimized specifically for the platform. Players with newer devices like the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 can expect higher graphical settings, more stable frame rates, and faster loading times compared to the iPhone 11 baseline.
Cloud Gaming
For players whose hardware does not meet the minimum requirements on any platform, the cloud gaming option removes hardware barriers entirely. The cloud version streams the game from high-performance remote servers, requiring only a stable internet connection and a device capable of video streaming. This makes the full game accessible on older phones, tablets, low-end laptops, and even some smart TVs.
Cloud gaming performance depends primarily on internet connection quality. A stable connection of at least 15 Mbps is recommended for smooth gameplay, with higher bandwidth improving visual quality and reducing input latency. Players in regions with strong internet infrastructure will find the cloud version nearly indistinguishable from native play, while those with inconsistent connections may experience occasional lag or visual compression.
Storage and Download Considerations
The approximately 72.5 GB PC installation size reflects the game's high-resolution textures, detailed 3D models, and extensive voice acting across multiple languages. The game uses a streaming installation system that allows players to begin playing before the full download is complete, prioritizing the assets needed for the starting area. Post-launch updates will add to the total storage footprint as new content, regions, and Flow styles are introduced.
Mobile Chip Tiers At Public Launch
The April 15, 2026 pre-download announcement for the mobile clients included a specific chip-level minimum list. These values, confirmed in the Tencent mobile-launch announcement and cross-verified against gaming press coverage from April 14-15, are the supported hardware floor for iOS and Android as of April 17, 2026.
iOS minimum: iOS 15 or later on Apple A13 Bionic. iPhone 11 is the lowest fully supported model.
Android minimum: Android 11 or later on Snapdragon 865, Dimensity 1200, or Kirin 9000E. The Kirin 9000E inclusion is notable because it means 2020-era Huawei flagships can run the game.
Installation footprint: approximately 32 GB on the disk for the full client after the initial asset download finishes. Tencent recommends leaving at least 40 GB of free space to allow for the patch cache and for future S0 content drops without requiring a cleanup pass.
HarmonyOS Edition (Invite-Only Technical Test)
A dedicated HarmonyOS edition of the mobile client exists, separate from the Android build. At the April 17, 2026 launch it is in an invite-only paid technical test (限量付费不删档测试) rather than open availability. Eligibility is distributed by SMS invitation directly from the publisher. The HarmonyOS edition targets HarmonyOS 5 and HarmonyOS 6. It was explicitly excluded from the April 15 mobile pre-download and is tracked separately from the iOS and Android builds.
Players on HarmonyOS hardware who have received the invitation use the HarmonyOS client rather than running the Android build in compatibility mode. Players without the invitation who own HarmonyOS hardware either wait for the general HarmonyOS rollout or use the Android build for now. No public date has been announced for when the HarmonyOS edition leaves the invite test and becomes open.
