Overview
The Overseas Closed PC Alpha Test is the first-ever hands-on opportunity for players outside of mainland China to play Honor of Kings: World directly. Announced in early April 2026 by TiMi Studio Group and Level Infinite, the test opened registration at the official site honorofkingsworld.com and targets select players in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. It runs ahead of the game's confirmed Spring 2026 global launch window and is positioned as the studio's first chance to gather feedback from overseas players at scale.

Developer Statement
Big Huang, lead combat designer at TiMi Studio Group, was cited by RPG Site in the alpha announcement. Per that report, Huang said the studio "can't wait to welcome new overseas players into the world of Primaera for the first time" and that the test gives the team "our first opportunity to get player feedback at scale that will help us shape the future of Honor of Kings: World." This framing makes clear that the alpha is an open-ended feedback window, not a marketing-only event.
Why It Matters
First overseas hands-on outside of the press demo programs at GDC 2025 and Gamescom 2025
First public English-language build, which exposes TiMi's localization quality ahead of global launch
Key risk-reduction step before the confirmed Spring 2026 release window
Gives Western content creators their first direct footage with which to preview the game at scale
Relationship to Prior Tests
The overseas alpha is distinct from the four earlier testing phases that TiMi has run inside mainland China. Those phases (the April 2025 mobile open beta, the July 2025 PC Pioneer Test, and the February 2026 paid closed beta) focused on the Chinese server and Chinese-language audience. The overseas alpha is the first time a build has been prepared and operated specifically for players outside China. See Closed Beta Tests for the full beta timeline and context.
What to Expect
Based on the Gamescom 2025 press build, which is the closest publicly playable reference point, testers should expect:
Open-world exploration anchored at Jixia Academy with access to multiple surrounding regions
The dual Flow Style combat system with a curated set of playable hero styles
Cooperative boss encounters including the signature Bi Fang fight
Mouse and keyboard and controller support
An English localization in active polish, with potential rough edges in voice and text
Tips for Registration
Register directly through the official honorofkingsworld.com domain; avoid third-party sites claiming to hand out keys
Fill out the hardware survey honestly; selection appears to weight toward the hardware range TiMi wants to test
Watch the official Honor of Kings: World social channels for test date and access announcements
Expect an NDA-style confidentiality request even if one is not explicitly called out in the registration page; treat beta content as private by default
