Overview
Jade City is a prosperous jade-trade city in the Alsahraa desert region of Honor of Kings: World's worldview. The Honor of Kings worldview portal dedicates a full region page to it. Its tagline is "The Jade Greenhouse: City of Dreams." The city is protected by the Jade Barrier, a magical shield created by the Jade Society using power from a figure called the Dark Master, and it is home to an ancient prophecy tied to the construction of Twelve Starlanite Pillars.
Portal Overview Text
From the Jade City region page: "Jade has made this city flourish like a flower in the desert, radiant and glorious. Thanks to its huge jade deposits and the protection of the Jade Barrier, Jade City has been the only city in Alsahraa to exist for many years in peace. As a prosperous trade hub through the ages, the city has had countless stories of rags to riches. The people of Jade City dream of wealth and longevity, but beneath this luster lurks a secret black market. Jade City awaits a tragic fate, unless a hero of destiny changes its path."
The Twelve Starlanite Pillars Prophecy
The central narrative of Jade City is the prophecy of the Twelve Starlanite Pillars. Per the portal: "According to legend, when the twelve Starlanite Pillars are complete, a hero will arrive and lead Jade City to eternal prosperity. This ancient prophecy has been passed down over thousands of years." The pillars are constructed around the city by the Jade Architects, each taking hundreds of years to build. They are made of starlanite jade, a rare material used exclusively by the Jade Society for this purpose and distinct from ordinary jade.
The prophecy is mirrored by a specific artifact: in the former king's study, there is a blade of starlanite that "according to legend, a true hero will raise... on Hero's Eve and lead the Jade City to eternal prosperity."

Economy and Crafts
Jade City's economy is built on jade. Other named institutions include the Auction House, the Jadeworkers' Guild, and the Ram's Head way stations along the Silk Road. The Jade Elves, "creatures of pure jade," serve as the mascots of the city. Lunar Jade Fishing takes place at the Jade River, a named body of water in the city.
The Structural Problem
Jade City faces a serious structural threat from the mining that sustains its economy: "The Royal Jade Deposits' continued excavation is slowly causing Jade City's foundations to become hollow, and cave-ins have become an increasingly common occurrence." This is the source of the "tragic fate" foreshadowed in the region's tagline, and it gives urgency to the Twelve Starlanite Pillars prophecy: the city literally needs a miracle to save itself from collapse.
Starlanite Jade
The portal distinguishes between ordinary jade and starlanite jade. Starlanite jade is rare and used exclusively by the Jade Society to build the Twelve Pillars, while ordinary jade drives the city's commerce and craftsmanship. The material distinction is central to the prophecy: ordinary jade made the city wealthy, but only starlanite jade can save it.
Notable Characters
The portal's confirmed Jade City hero is Feyd, "the Crown Prince" and "one of his city's most tireless defenders on a never-ending quest to uncover its darkest secrets." Feyd's quest for the city's secrets ties directly to the structural crisis: someone must understand what is really happening beneath Jade City in order to save it.
Status at S0 Launch
Jade City is NOT part of the S0 Season launch playable area. It is a confirmed future region based on the lore portal documentation. The specific post-launch release date has not been announced. Players should expect Jade City to eventually open as a future region drop with questlines tied to the Twelve Starlanite Pillars prophecy and the structural crisis beneath the city.
