The S0 Battle Pass (稷下战令, Jì Xià Zhàn Lìng, "Jixia Battle Order") is the inaugural battle pass in Honor of Kings: World, launched alongside the game on April 10, 2026. Its featured Resonance is Jialuo (伽罗), the Thousand-Cave Guardian archer, who is bundled into the 68 CNY Basic tier and becomes free-purchase in the shop after the season ends. The pass also includes significant stamina and Jingpo rewards, making it the most cost-efficient single purchase in the game for any player who plans to play daily through the S0 season.
This article covers the S0 pass specifically. For the recurring battle pass structure and the distinction between Basic and Deluxe tiers in general, see the Battle Pass overview.
Overview
The S0 pass is the first implementation of HoKW's seasonal battle pass structure. It aligns with the S0 (Jixia Chapter) season launched April 10, 2026, and lasts the full duration of the season. Two paid tiers are available (Basic at 68 CNY, Deluxe at 168 CNY) plus a free track that contributes only baseline rewards. Per Sina News launch coverage: "首期战令是伽罗和她的幻化外观" ("the inaugural battle pass features Jialuo and her transformation skin").
Mechanically, the pass combines three reward streams: a one-time grant at purchase, a daily drip of stamina and Jingpo for the season's duration, and level-up rewards earned by completing daily and weekly quests. The Deluxe tier adds an exclusive Mythic-tier outfit on top of everything included in the Basic tier.
Tier Structure
Tier | Price | Purchase Grant | Daily Benefit |
|---|---|---|---|
Free | 0 CNY | Baseline season rewards | Daily quest currency trickle |
Basic (基础版) | 68 CNY | 1,000 stamina, 5 character draw tickets, Jialuo (Resonance), 1 exclusive weapon skin | 60 stamina + 50 Jingpo per day for the season |
Deluxe (豪华版) | 168 CNY | Everything in Basic plus Jialuo's exclusive transformation outfit and auto level-up to rank 10 | Same daily benefit as Basic |
The pricing tiers have been cross-verified against wap.pp.cn's battle pass breakdown (which quotes the full 68 / 168 CNY structure and specifies the daily 60 stamina + 50 Jingpo reward) and 17173's monetization guide. The Deluxe tier adds nothing to the daily reward trickle; its entire 100 CNY upcharge buys an exclusive Jialuo outfit plus an immediate level-10 boost.
Unlocking Jialuo
Per wap.pp.cn's Jialuo battle pass article: "所有战令用户在开启当期战令后,首周即可免费领取伽罗英雄,无需额外消耗点券或参与抽卡" ("all battle pass users who unlock the current season's pass can freely claim Jialuo within the first week, with no additional diamond cost and no gacha participation"). This is the key mechanical point about Jialuo as a battle pass hero: she is not a gacha character, not a lottery reward, and not a random drop. Buying the 68 CNY Basic tier in the first week of S0 is sufficient to unlock her for the entire season.
Players who do not buy the S0 pass during the season will have to wait for her direct-purchase release. Ali213's hero-acquisition guide explicitly confirms this: "当期战令结束后,伽罗会进入商城直售" ("once the current battle pass season ends, Jialuo enters direct sale in the shop"). At that point she costs 3,980 Jingpo like all other direct-sale Resonances.
Jialuo's Role in the S0 Roster
Jialuo (伽罗) is the dedicated archer among the 11 S0 launch Resonances and fills the single-target precision damage niche. Her S0 title is Thousand-Cave Guardian (千窟守护者), and her tagline on world.qq.com is "千页纷飞处,文脉自可追" ("where a thousand pages fly, the threads of civilization can be traced"). Her kit is built around a spirit-arrow resource system, with skills including 渡灵之箭 (Spirit-Crossing Arrow), 静默之箭 (Silence Arrow), 纯净之域 (Pure Domain), and ultimate 千窟神箭 (Thousand-Cave Divine Arrow).
Notably, Sina News launch coverage explicitly framed Jialuo as a major performance upgrade over her MOBA counterpart: "在峡谷里常年坐牢的伽罗,在大世界也是好起来了,直接成为t0级输出" ("Jialuo, who spent years stuck in the basement tier in the MOBA canyon, has also bounced back in the open world and directly becomes a T0 damage dealer"). The translation to HoKW's action-RPG combat system favors her precision-ranged kit more than the MOBA's tank-and-siege meta did.
For full kit details, skill descriptions, and playstyle tips, see her dedicated article. This battle pass article focuses on the acquisition path and economic value only.
Economic Value Analysis
The 68 CNY Basic tier is arguably the single best CNY-to-value purchase in Honor of Kings: World at S0. Here is the math that makes it the PVE starter package:
Basic Tier Reward | Estimated Standalone Value |
|---|---|
Jialuo (Resonance) | 3,980 Jingpo or roughly 398 CNY at post-season direct-purchase price |
1,000 stamina on purchase | Enables multiple extra Dream Realm and material dungeon runs |
60 stamina per day (season length) | Roughly 5,400 bonus stamina over a 90-day season |
50 Jingpo per day (season length) | Roughly 4,500 Jingpo over a 90-day season, roughly 450 CNY equivalent |
5 character draw tickets | Cosmetic pull tickets, not Heavenly Reward |
1 exclusive weapon skin | Mid-tier cosmetic, no gameplay effect |
The raw Jingpo math alone justifies the purchase: 4,500 Jingpo dripped over the season plus the direct-purchase value of Jialuo (approximately 398 CNY) already exceeds the 68 CNY Basic purchase price several times over. Stamina, the weapon skin, and draw tickets are effectively bonus content.
Note that wap.pp.cn specifies a single gacha pull in the character-pull system costs 150 Jingpo, meaning the 50 Jingpo daily trickle can support roughly one pull every three days, or approximately 5.5 pulls per week during an active season. These pulls feed the cosmetic/resource pool, not Heavenly Reward Mythic pulls.
Basic vs Deluxe: Is the Upgrade Worth It?
The 100 CNY upgrade from Basic (68 CNY) to Deluxe (168 CNY) buys two things: Jialuo's exclusive transformation outfit and an immediate battle-pass level-10 boost that unlocks outfit-related visual effects without requiring the player to grind through early levels. Per wap.pp.cn: "尊享版开通即自动提升至10级,可立即领取幻化皮肤相关特效组件" ("the Deluxe tier auto-boosts to level 10 on purchase, allowing immediate claim of transformation skin visual effect components").
wap.pp.cn also notes that the Deluxe tier's exclusive outfit has an in-shop equivalent listed price of roughly 3,980 Jingpo. At the 10-Jingpo-per-CNY rate that works out to roughly 398 CNY of equivalent shop value, so the 100 CNY upcharge is a substantial discount on the outfit itself. The key caveat is that the outfit is the only additional benefit: the daily 60 stamina and 50 Jingpo trickle is identical between Basic and Deluxe tiers.
The practical buying guide:
Buy Basic if you want the stamina, Jialuo, and Jingpo trickle for utility reasons. 68 CNY is a highly efficient PVE starter purchase.
Buy Deluxe if you love Jialuo's visual design or the transformation outfit's particle effects. 100 CNY extra is the discount over buying the outfit standalone later.
Buy neither if you do not plan to play daily and do not want Jialuo. The pass's value comes from the daily trickle compounding over weeks. Infrequent players capture a fraction of the value.
Interaction with Stamina and Dream Realm Events
The battle pass is the largest bonus stamina source at S0. Stamina gates the Dream Realm events where featured Resonances get their progression milestones. Players who buy Basic on day one accumulate substantially more bonus stamina across a season than free-track players, which translates into more gear, more materials, and faster Resonance power progression.
Over a 90-day season, the Basic pass contributes approximately 1,000 (one-time) + 5,400 (daily) = 6,400 stamina compared to zero from free track. This is the single largest stamina injection in the game and materially increases farming throughput.
What S0 Pass Does Not Include
Heavenly Reward pulls. The battle pass does not grant any Mythic banner pulls.
Additional Resonances beyond Jialuo. The other 10 S0 launch Resonances are either free-unlock (4 via story progression) or direct-purchase (5 at 3,980 Jingpo each). See the S0 roster for details.
Talents, Ningwu upgrades, or any gameplay power item. All combat-balance resources remain free to earn.
PvP rank rewards. Wudao Duel and other competitive modes are purely earned.
Main character cosmetics. The protagonist's Heavenly Reward Mythic outfit is a separate pity banner and has its own 18,000 Jingpo pity ceiling. See the Heavenly Reward Skin System article.
The S0 Pass as PVE Starter
The 68 CNY Basic tier functions as the de-facto PVE starter package for HoKW. A new player who commits to the S0 season should buy it within the first week to claim Jialuo and begin the daily stamina and Jingpo drip immediately. The compound effect across a full season is materially larger than the upfront price tag suggests.
Chinese community sentiment at launch, per 17173's launch review, is broadly positive on the pass structure because it respects player time: "付费模式很克制" ("the monetization model is restrained"). Buying the S0 pass does not pressure players into further purchases; it simply boosts farming velocity and grants one hero, with no followup spending required.
Season Rotation and Future Passes
Future seasons are expected to run their own battle pass with the same two-tier 68 / 168 CNY structure, each featuring a different Resonance. The exact S0 season end date and the S1 pass's featured hero have not been officially announced as of April 12, 2026. Tencent's world.qq.com S0 page has not published a formal post-S0 roadmap.
One behavior pattern confirmed by Ali213's hero guide: once a given season's pass ends, the featured hero (Jialuo in S0) transitions to direct Jingpo purchase at 3,980 Jingpo. This means a patient player can wait out the season and buy Jialuo with accumulated free Jingpo rather than paying the 68 CNY pass. The pass advantage is primarily the stamina and Jingpo trickle during the active season, not the hero unlock itself.
Comparison to Honor of Kings MOBA's Battle Pass
The base Honor of Kings MOBA also uses a two-tier 荣耀战令 (Honor Battle Order) with 30 CNY and 90 CNY tiers that has run continuously for multiple years. HoKW's S0 pass inherits the naming convention (战令 / zhàn lìng) but restructures rewards around the action-RPG context: the MOBA pass focuses on skin and avatar rewards, while HoKW's S0 pass focuses on stamina and hero unlock.
Pricewise, the S0 Basic pass at 68 CNY is closer to the MOBA's mid-tier than its entry tier. The relative value is different because HoKW's pass includes a character unlock rather than only cosmetics, which raises the floor of what buyers receive but also means a pass-less player must either grind or wait to access the featured hero.
