Kiana is a returning character from Honkai Impact 3rd who appears in Honkai: Nexus Anima as a Planestrider — a dimensional traveler who moves between Planes to address situations where Aspects have collapsed or destabilized. The Chinese-language description strongly suggests this is the same Kiana Kaslana from Honkai Impact 3rd, not an alternate version or variant, who has crossed into the dimension where Nexus Anima takes place.

Role in Nexus Anima

As a Planestrider, Kiana operates outside the normal Animaster hierarchy. Where most characters are training to compete in regional championships, Kiana's purpose is broader — she deals with Aspect instabilities that threaten the structure of the Planes themselves. Her exact role in the main storyline hasn't been fully detailed, but her presence connects the events of Nexus Anima to the larger Honkai multiverse.

She is shown with a companion Anima called Puddlipup, a dog-like pudding creature classified as a Striker with a Satiation Aspect. Puddlipup has a bounce ability that can reach elevated platforms during exploration, making it useful for traversal as well as combat.
