Falling Frontier is a single-player sci-fi real-time strategy game developed by Stutter Fox Studios and published by Hooded Horse. Players conquer a vast procedurally generated star system where ship design, reconnaissance, and logistics are the decisive factors of victory.
The game is scheduled to enter Early Access in 2026 on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. As of 27 August 2026 it has not yet launched: the Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store pages all still list it as coming soon, and no price has been published on any of them. The studio is based in Melbourne, Australia, and is led by founder and developer Todd D'Arcy.
Overview
Falling Frontier places players in command of a space port in a star system contested by nine rival factions, each descended from Earth's various colonial power lineages. Resources are finite and fully physicalized: every unit of fuel, ammunition, and food must be transported to ships and stations by dedicated supply vessels. There is no shared resource pool. This makes controlling and disrupting supply lines as important as winning battles.

Intel and reconnaissance are central pillars alongside combat. Players deploy probes and construct recon stations to monitor the system, while managing named crews of officers who possess unique traits and can be captured by enemies.
